Shopping and hospitality are just a couple of minutes away by car or 10-15 minutes by foot. The 'Ganges Harbour’ area can be reached by walking down Lower Ganges Road for half an hour, as there are many recreational activities available, including hiking or cycling in nearby Portlock Park and Mouat Provincial Park, golfing at the Salt Spring Golf & Country Club, as well as paddle boarding, kayaking and boating in the ocean. Burnaby Gardens is nestled on the west side of Penticton, a few hundred meters away from the beaches of Okanagan Lake. the park is surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants as well as the Sicamous Heritage Park, Loco Landing and the Roll’N Stones Fun Centre. The park community is well-kept and has the convenience of being close to everything. Most of the recreational spots are in walking distance. Plenty of hiking, biking, golfing and water sport activities are just around the corner as well as beautiful beaches along 2 pristine freshwater lakes – Okanagan Lake & Skaha Lake. Explore the Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park (15 min. drive) or the Apex Mountain Resort for winter sports, just a 45 minute drive away.
There are 80+ wineries in the area. Those who prefer beer will be happy to learn that Penticton has been awarded '2nd Best Beer Town in Canada 2018'.

The famous Elk Falls Provincial Park with its thundering waterfalls and thrilling suspension bridge, the Quinsam River Salmon Hatchery and Beaver Lodge Forest Lands can be reached by car in less than 10 minutes. Explore all of the great outdoor activities that the Campbell River region has to offer: there is fishing, golfing, hiking biking, marine & wildlife tours, water sports and so much more. During the winter, try Mt. Washington Alpine Resort with its many ski slopes and chairlifts or Strathcona Provincial Park for snowshoeing, both are less than 50 kilometres away.
