Fire Safety Procedures

  • Call the Building Manager if the smoke alarm in the suite malfunctions or is too easily triggered.
  • Do not leave food cooking on stoves/ovens or open flames unattended.
  • Do not leave candles unattended.
  • Do not overload electrical circuits.
  • Be familiar with the building’s fire exits.
  • Leave the building immediately if the fire alarm sounds. Follow the fire escape exits.
  • Do not use elevators in the case of an emergency.
  • Call the fire department (911) immediately if there is a fire anywhere in the building.

What to Do During a Fire

  • Activate the alarm
  • Call the fire department (if not already done)
  • Evacuate the building
  • Help people with disabilities
