Fire Safety Procedures
- Call the Building Manager if the smoke alarm in the suite malfunctions or is too easily triggered.
- Do not leave food cooking on stoves/ovens or open flames unattended.
- Do not leave candles unattended.
- Do not overload electrical circuits.
- Be familiar with the building’s fire exits.
- Leave the building immediately if the fire alarm sounds. Follow the fire escape exits.
- Do not use elevators in the case of an emergency.
- Call the fire department (911) immediately if there is a fire anywhere in the building.
What to Do During a Fire
- Activate the alarm
- Call the fire department (if not already done)
- Evacuate the building
- Help people with disabilities
